Lap Update!

My lap/hyst was yesterday and it went really well. I got some good news, bad news, and weird news.

The good news is that the BCP worked in shrinking the cyst naturally so that did not have to be removed. The bad news is that I do have endometriosis. The RE said it is mild and since the follow up isn't for two more weeks I am not clear on where it was or any other details. I also have polyps in my tubes or on the outside of my tubes. Chris thought he said they were on the outside but I can't find anything at all indicating that polyps can be on the outside of your tubes. No wonder I wasn't getting pregnant!

The weird news is that after all of my UTI's which caused scarring and a thick bladder wall(very common in IC patients) plus perhaps the endo my bladder actually attached itself to my stomach lining. Chris said this was the only thing the doctor was worried about. He did detach it and said that I might need the surgery every few years to detach it. I am wondering if can be seen by ultraound or if it can only been seen laproscopically. Who knows, who cares, I am just hoping this will help my bladder out. The RE also gave me some antibiotics intravenously so I wouldn't get another UTI from the catherter.

I am going to call my urologist today to see if they want the results from the surgery and I also need to find someone, maybe even a new PCP who will take the bladder infections seriously. This whole go give your urine to labcorp and we will get back to you in a week with antibiotics just isn't going to fly with me anymore. The reason I have the scarring is because of all the UTIs and now that we know that is having a real effect I don't think the waiting is acceptable anymore.

That's about all for now. I have been up since 1:30, right when my first dose of pain meds wore off and I haven't been able to fall back asleep since. I am not in the much pain, which I am sure is because of the pain pills, I am just really uncomfortable. I am hoping I get so tired soon that I just pass out on the couch.
