Quick Roundup

1. The adoption workshop was nice, but let's face it we don't have 30k laying around.  We don't qualify for most grants because we aren't religious.  We can save up the money maybe in five or ten years.  We could do it quicker, but being poor has never done much for our relationship.  So that basically is over for now.

2. My cycles post IVF have been over 40 days long.  The RE says there is no way that the IVF drugs could have done this and said he could re-do PCOS bloodwork.  Fuck it, really.  I will have my gyn look into it next month.

3.  I have lost 11 pounds.

4.  Chris and I are most likely getting a 20% pay cut some time soon.  The state can't figure out a better way to save money, so screw the state employees.

5.  I clearly need a drink.

    yeah 30k is really tough, isn't it?
    We always talk about adoption too.. but I have this fantasy that we can probably avoid the whole agency thing because we can probably adopt in our country of origin where things are a little different... but that may be totally not the reality of it.
    congratulations on losing 11 pounds!!! that's awesome!

    catching up with you after being away for a bit. that's a lot of stuff. is the $30k for domestic adoption too? (i knew international was $$$). congrats on the weight loss. weird about your cycles, hope your obgyn can figure that out and quickly. and yikes on the pay cut!! that totally stinks!

    I hope you DID have a drink or two and that it was good. There is a lot to deal with on this list!
